Bodybuilding for beginners

When an individual first decides that they want to start bodybuilding, they may be faced with countless of questions. They may wonder what is the fastest way they can gain muscle, what’s the fastest way they can add extra pounds to their max bench press, or perhaps what supplements they should take to help their muscles grow.

In this entry I will help answer some of those questions and will also give you a simple program to start. First, when an individual is beginning with bodybuilding, I wouldn’t personally recommend them working more then three days per week. Your muscles will be sore when you first start out and you will need to give your body time to recover.

If you can working your body, then it will have no time to recover so its a good idea not to start out like a mad man or woman when first venturing into the bodybuilding. You could injure yourself which may delay your bodybuilding goals even more in the future. First thing first, make sure to start with implementing proper nutrition.

Nutrition

It seems like having a well balanced diet is getting more and harder these days. However, with some quick and easy elimination you can improve your health vastly. First, most Americans in general eat way too many carbohydrates, especially simple ones. These include carbohydrates such as white breads, potatoes, corn, and sugars.

These break down in your body quickly which requires your pancreas to emit a substance known as insulin to help regulate your body’s blood sugar levels. Try to limit these in your diet. Secondly, try to implement more whole and natural foods into your diet. Instead of having some donuts how about having a whole orange?

This will provide your body with more nutrients and will break down in your body slowly, gradually releasing insulin. It will also keep you full for a much longer time as well. Last, don’t be afraid to have fats in your diet. I’m not talking about greasy oily ones, im talking about ones that have plenty of nutrients and proteins such as lean meats which is also great for bodybuilding because it helps an individual puts on lean muscle mass.

Endurance

While some individual’s goals may be to put on muscle fast, an individual should not forget that they should add cardiovascular training into their work out routine. The standard is roughly 30 minutes of aerobics per day.

This can include activities such as walking, jogging, or jumping rope. If you’re sedentary then of course start slow and gradually build up the intensity in which you can do the activity. Doing aerobic actives suck as walking helps build up an individual endurance or how long they can perform a specific activity. On the contrary, high intensity exercises such as sprinting is considered anaerobic activities and helps build up how much intensity an individual can perform for an activity suck as quicker activity for less time. It’s important to implement both cardiovascular activities into your workout schedule.

Supplements

These are good to implement in your diet to help put on muscle gain fast, but the majority of the nutrients in your diet should come from your foods. One simple supplement that bodybuilders can take is protein. This is what most of your muscles is made out of and it’s important that they are replenished with it after a hard workout. Some good natural sources of supplements are lean meats such as chicken breast and turkey, some fruits such as avocados and coconuts, and eggs. A supplement that bodybuilders take is protein powder. This usually goes well with milk and can be made into a beverage.
